Leopardus Guigna it is often spelled as Codcod and called alternatively Guina, Huina or Huina. Aardwolves are often mistaken for striped hyenas as they do look very similar with markings. The Aardwolf (Proteles cristatus) is a small insectivorous hyena, native to Eastern and Southern Africa. The name means "earth wolf" in Afrikaans.
